  53. Limited Distribution License:

  55. As the copyright holder for From Scratch, Desktop Solutions authorizes
  56. distribution by individuals only in accordance with the following
  57. restrictions.

  59.    (User Groups, Computer Clubs, Disk Vendors and Distributors,
  60.    Subscription Services, Disk-of-the-Month Clubs, etc., should refer to
  61.    the VENDOR.DOC file for complete information relating to them.)

  66. Individuals are hereby granted permission by Desktop Solutions to copy
  67. the From Scratch diskette for their own use (for evaluation purposes) or
  68. for other individuals to evaluate, ONLY when the following conditions
  69. are met.

  71. The From Scratch package is defined as containing all the material
  72. listed in the PACKING.LST text file.  If any files listed in the
  73. PACKING.LST text file, or the PACKING.LST file itself, are missing, then
  74. the package is not complete and distribution is forbidden.  Please
  75. contact us to obtain a complete package suitable for distribution.

  77.     o  The From Scratch package - including all related program files
  78.        and documentation files - CANNOT be modified in any way and must
  79.        be distributed as a complete package, without exception.  The
  80.        PACKING.LST text file contains a list of all files that are part
  81.        of the From Scratch package.

  83.     o  No price or other compensation may be charged for the From
  84.        Scratch package.  A distribution cost may be charged for the cost
  85.        of the diskette, shipping and handling, as long as the total (per
  86.        disk) does not exceed US$8.00 in the U.S. and Canada, or US$12.00
  87.        internationally.

  89.     o  The From Scratch package CANNOT be sold as part of some other
  90.        inclusive package.  Nor can it be included in any commercial
  91.        software packaging offer, without a written agreement from
  92.        Desktop Solutions.

  94.     o  The PRINTED User's Guide may not be reproduced in whole or in
  95.        part, using any means, without the written permission of Desktop
  96.        Solutions.  In other words, the disk-based documentation may not
  97.        be distributed in PRINTED (hardcopy) form.

  99.     o  The From Scratch package cannot be "rented" or "leased" to
  100.        others.
  101.  
  102.     o  Licensee shall not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify,
  103.        decompile, disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer
  104.        the licensed program except as provided in this agreement.  Any
  105.        such unauthorized use shall result in immediate and automatic
  106.        termination of this license.

  108.     o  U.S. Government Information:  Use, duplication, or disclosure by
  109.        the U.S. Government of the computer software and documentation in
  110.        this package shall be subject to the restricted rights applicable
  111.        to commercial computer software as set forth in subdivision
  112.        (b)(3)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software
  113.        clause at 252.227-7013 (DFARS 52.227-7013).  The
  114.        Contractor/manufacturer is Desktop Solutions, 34 Inwood Rd,Port
  115.        Washington, NY, 11050.
